Polestar is a Swedish automotive brand that was originally established in 1996 by Flash/Polestar Racing, a partner of Volvo Cars. In 2015, Volvo acquired Polestar, and Volvo itself was acquired by Geely in 2010. The company's headquarters is located in Torslanda, just outside Gothenburg, Sweden. While the brand is Swedish, the production of Polestar vehicles takes place in China.
